I have been MIA all over the internet for the past several months or more. Last Friday, I started Remicade in hopes of it working to keep my crohn’s disease under control. I am also continuing to take my azathioprine (imuran) daily.
I had been feeling so totally crummy. It’s like I’d been drinking a “lethargic” potion.. my body was so tired, my arms and legs so heavy – like

It’s easy to get lazy when you are in pain. When I’m not feeling well, I don’t want to play in the backyard with the kids, let alone go for a walk or anything else.
My husband has been taking the boys are walks at a Grant Park, a nature reserve near our house. I’ve been

For my crohn’s disease, there doesn’t seem to be any specific foods that irritate, or even that specifically soothe. Well, no.. I can’t say that.. I know that when I’m feeling particularly poorly, there are some foods I definitely want to stay away from… like anything gas-causing (beans, onions, some veggies), salads, high acid (like

At 37 years old, and an otherwise healthy wife and mom of 4, I was officially diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.
Over all, it was simple to diagnose, it was just a matter of my not having insurance and suffering for several months before my body finally said, “Listen, you must do something and do it now!”.
